OVERVIEW
This project provides a cybersecurity testing platform that integrates open-source security tools inside a containerized environment. The platform lets users run safe attack simulations and detect vulnerabilities without putting production systems at risk. It is organized around three learning modes, Attacker, Defender, and Sandbox, so users can learn the tools and methods used by attackers, understand how defenders mitigate attacks, and explore a safe environment for security testing. The goal is to help users strengthen their security testing skills in a controlled setting.
THE CHALLENGE
- Security tools and attack simulations had to run without any risk to real or production systems.
- The testing environment needed to be easy to set up and consistent for every user.
THE SOLUTION
- Isolated the testing tools and targets in Docker containers to keep simulations safe and contained.
- Integrated open-source security tools into a single platform for vulnerability detection.
- Built a web interface with Laravel that guides users through the Attacker, Defender, and Sandbox modes.
- Documented the system architecture so the environment can be understood and reproduced.
